R-rated Power Rangers fan film gets taken down, now back up as SFW version

The R-rated Power Rangers fan film by Joseph Kahn was a big hit this morning on Vimeo, generating a lot of buzz. However, the video sharing site decided to take it down. (Either it was too hardcore or it was infringing on Saban’s rights.) The good news is that the video is available again, but it’s the SFW version.

Zordon recruits young teenagers to save the world by fighting evil aliens. Power/Rangers shows us what it would be like if the “child soldiers” grew up. What we get is a bloody and gritty fan film with nice production values.

The dark fan film stars Katee Sackhoff as Kimberly and James Van Der Beek as Rocky and is co-produced by Adi Shankar (The Punisher: Dirty Laundry, Lone Survivor).
