Disgaea 5 NIS Preview 2015

Every year for the past few years Nippon Ichi Software hosts a press event to show off their upcoming games for the current year. The event was mainly centered around Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance and with good reason, but this doesn’t mean that this is the only ace up NIS’s sleeves. The guests of honor showcasing the nights event were none other than Souhei Niikawa, the CEO of NIS, and Yoshinori Terasawa, producer of the Danganronpa series. While they didn’t give off many new details about specific release dates other than the fall of 2015 for most of the titles, we did get some new trailers for the games they were showing off.

Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance will have its veteran players be accustomed to the grid-based tactical combat system that the series is known for along with its ludicrous amounts of damage that the truly dedicated players will be able to dole out. The story this time is focusing around one common enemy, and the overlords from the surrounding worlds have united each with their own reasons for taking down this common enemy. The game looks great and from what they showed off it has the fan favorites and the best parts from each of the previous games along with some promised surprises.

Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance is in the process of being localized for North America but is on schedule for release this fall exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
