Spawn to be in Mortal Kombat X?

spawn mortal kombat x

While Spawn still lives on in the pages of comic books, we haven’s seen him in a while since Soul Calibur 2 on the Xbox back in 2003. Recently in an interview with GamerFitnation, Todd McFarlane talked about giving NetherRealm Studios his permission to use the character in the upcoming Mortal Kombat X game, as long as they use him within a certain time frame.

While this could be a hint of the character being added to either Mortal Kombat X or Injustice 2, it wouldn’t be a surprise as 2009’s Mortal Kombat included guest characters like Freddy Krueger and Kratos. Injustice: Gods Among Us added Scorpion, but Spawn’s arsenal of weapons and violence would be a much better fit in the MK series.

Mortal Kombat X will be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Steam.

You can watch the video below which talks about Spawn being used in a NetherRealm Studios game, the upcoming movie reboot, and the Todd McFarlane Toyline.
