Nightcrawler cast for X-Men: Apocalypse

X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer revealed yesterday on his Instagram that Kodi Smit-McPhee will be playing the mutant Nightcrawler in his upcoming movie. Kodi is known for his roles in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Let Me In, and Paranorman.

Not much is known yet about this upcoming film and how big of a role young Nightcrawler will play, but I do wonder if they will be using blue fur on him, or stick to the blue skin as they did with the first cinematic Nightcrawler.

X-Men: Apocalypse is also said to be the conclusion to the X-Men: First Class trilogy, and it seems that they plan to go out with a bang hitting many of the major story arcs from the original X-Men comic books.

Nightcrawler possesses superhuman agility, the ability to teleport, a skilled fencer, and adhesive hands and feet. He has been shown to be very close to Colossus in the Ultimate Universe, but closer to Wolverine in Earth 616.

Look for X-Men: Apocalypse which comes out to a theater near you on May 27, 2016.
