Sega is closing its San Francisco office

SegaSonic

Sega has been going through some big changes for the last decade, and not all of it is good. After stepping away from the console wars, it focused on releasing video games titles for its competitors, Nintendo and Sony, and the mobile market. Now the once legendary company has announced it will be closing down its San Francisco offices. But all is not lost, as Sega will be moving their North American headquarters to Southern California by summer.

The move will cause Sega to lay off about 300 employees in North America. Sega’s move is to focus on its priorities to improve its profits and invest in digital games and its resort business.
