Emma Watson to play Belle in Beauty and the Beast remake

It seems like more and more Disney movies are slowly being made into live-action films. (Hey, I’m not complaining.) For example, we’re getting a new live-action Cinderella adaption this year. Besides that, we already have Snow White and the Huntsman, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty (Maleficent), and others.

Well now we’re getting a Beauty in the Beast live-action remake! And I’m proud to tell you that Emma Watson will be playing Belle. How perfect is that?

We all know her for her beloved part in the Harry Potter series as Hermione Granger. To be honest, Belle and the intelligent witch are not far apart from each other. Smart, different, and most importantly, loves books.

Bill Condon, director of the Twilight Saga (crosses fingers), is set to direct the film. The beast has not yet been cast.

Are you excited for this? I for sure am. Beauty and the Beast definitely takes the trophy for one of my favorite Disney films!
