M. Night Shyamalan used to be a name that made people flock to theaters back in his early days. Now the director is considered a “joke” to many movie buffs out there, especially with the domestic box office failure of After Earth starring Will and Jaden Smith. However, that’s not going to stop the director from doing more movies. His next movie, The Visit (originally titled Sundowning) now has a release date of September 11, 2015.

The movie is about a brother and sister who visit their grandparents’ Pennsylvania farm. The problem is that the grandparents aren’t all they crack up to be, and now the kids’ chances of getting home are getting smaller and smaller.

The Visit stars Kathryn Hahn (Step Brothers, Bad Words) and Ed Oxenbould (Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day).

The movie was self-funded by Shyamalan and is going to be distributed by Universal Pictures.

I don’t know if Shyamalan fans still exist out there, but if you’re one of them, sound off below!
