Michael Douglas wraps shooting for Ant-Man

Michael Douglas plays Hank Pym, the man who invented the shrinking suit, in the upcoming Ant-Man film. Now he has updated his Facebook page saying that he has finished shooting his scenes this past weekend.

Hank’s role in the movie universe is definitely different from the comic book version, since in the comics he has mostly been portrayed as an active and young superhero. The movie will have Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) donning the Ant-Man suit.

“Finished my last days on Ant-Man this weekend,” Douglas wrote. “Had a great time, a new experience with all these blue screens!”

Douglas posted a photo of himself and his stunt double. In it we can see bullet holes on the chest near the right shoulder. It doesn’t look like it’s a fatal shot though.

Ant-Man hits theaters on July 17, 2015. The film is being directed by Peyton Reed (Bring It On, Yes Man).
