Christopher Nolan doesn’t think he’ll return to superhero movies

Christopher Nolan has done something very special to the world of superhero movies. We’ve had movies before with some serious subject matter, like X-Men with its topic about equality, but Nolan created the Dark Knight Trilogy that propelled the comic book genre into a serious art form. The films have been greatly well received and have made Warner Bros. lots of money.

After the Trilogy, it seems like Nolan is focused on doing other genres, especially with Interstellar coming up soon.

“I think I had a great experience with the superhero genre and got to explore a lot of things,” Nolan said to Time Out. “But it was a good decade of my life and I find it hard to imagine returning to it. But never say never.”

He may be tired of the genre now, but perhaps he’ll change his tune in the future.

Would you like to see Nolan continue on with superhero movies, or would you rather see him tackle other genres?
