Rain is a popular K-pop star and actor, and the first time I’ve heard of him was when he appeared on the Stephen Colbert show. Since then, Rain has starred in Ninja Assassin and other films. Now he can be seen in The Prince, an American gangster thriller film directed by Brian A. Miller starring Bruce Willis and John Cusack.

Nerd Reactor: Do you prefer to play a hero or a villain?

Rain: I don’t have a preference. I think analyzing the character and practicing is the first thing in order to act well in it when I get casted.

NR: What was it like working with an American action hero like Bruce Willis?

Rain: I was just overwhelmed and excited. I thought that I wanted to do it well and I had to do it well.

NR: Since you worked with Bruce Willis, is there another American action legend you would like to work with?

Rain: I think I’m still at the beginning status to choose certain actors, but I’d love to work with many actors.

NR: If you could remake any American movie for your Korean fans (Korean movie), which would it be?

Rain: Since there are many well-recognized Korean films nowadays, I cannot choose just ‘one’ movie. I hope that there are many Korean films that gets to have chance to ‘re-make.’

NR: What kind of training did you have to do for this role?

Rain: It was my first time challenging to act as a killer. I did some action and gun-shoot practicing.

NR: For our female audience: Will we see you shirtless in this movie?

Rain: As far as I know there’s no shirtless scene in the movie. In this film, I wanted to give a ‘sexy guy’ impression as a strong scene stealer.

The Prince is now available on Blu-ray (plus Digital HD), DVD (plus Digital) and Digital HD.
