Forever Batman stamp unveiled at New York Comic Con
At the DC Entertainment booth during New York Comic Con, DC Entertainment Co-Publishers Jim Lee and Dan DiDio were on hand with U.S. Postal Service CIO Jim Cochrane and stamp sheet designer Greg Breeding to showcase the new 2014 Forever Batman stamps. It’s to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Batman with the help of Batman.
“For years, the Postal Service has celebrated so many of America’s icons on its landmark stamps — and today, we’re excited to honor one of the most iconic comic book Super Heroes in history,” said U.S. Postal Service Chief Information Officer and Executive Vice President James Cochrane. “It’s very fitting we’re dedicating these Batman stamps during National Stamp Collecting Month, because stamp collecting played a role in young Bruce Wayne’s childhood in the 1950s comics.”
Collectors and fans will be able to enjoy images of Batman from four different eras including Modern Age, the Bronze Age, the Silver Age, and the Golden Age.
The stamps are available now via your local post office and usps.com
