The X-Men universe to have a live-action TV series?

DC and Marvel both have put a stamp on television with Arrow and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., respectively. Now DC is packing the TV realm with Gotham and the upcoming Constantine and The Flash series. There’s even a Supergirl series in the works for CBS. Marvel will have Agent Carter out soon while also teaming up with Netflix to offer us Daredevil, Luke Cage and more. However, with all these superhero shows, what about everybody’s favorite mutant team, the X-Men?

According to Bleeding Cool’s Hollywood sources (the same source that brought to light the Supergirl series), Fox is planning to develop a live-action X-Men TV show. Now Shawn Madden of Eat Geek Play has chimed in, saying that Fox is indeed working on a TV series, but it will follow the exploits of the X-Factor featuring Jamie Madrox aka Multiple Man.

Madden admits that it’s a rumor and is hoping that it’s true.

This isn’t the first time Fox tried to do an X-Men-related series. That honor goes to Generation X featuring Jubilee, Emma Frost and Banshee. The network was hoping to turn it into a series by releasing it as a movie first. As you can tell, it didn’t do too well.

Would you like to see X-Men or the other mutant teams on TV?
