Dawn of the Planet of the Apes heads to Blu-ray and DVD December 2nd
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was a sequel that performed better than its predecessor in every way, whether it was at the box office or with receiving positive reviews (Rise of the Planet of the Apes was still a critically acclaimed film). Now Caesar will be striking into your home when the Blu-ray and DVD come out on December 2, courtesy of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. The versions available will be the 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD, with Digital HD coming out earlier on November 11th.
Synopsis: Gary Oldman, Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke and Keri Russell star in this thrilling next chapter of The Planet of the Apes. It is 2026, and humanity has been pushed to near extinction by a deadly virus. When a group of survivors desperate to find a new source of power travel into the woods near San Francisco, they discover a highly evolved community of intelligent apes led by Caesar (Andy Serkis). The two species form a fragile peace but dissention grows and the groups find themselves hurtling toward all-out war.
The bonus features will include around 2 hours of content with behind-the-scenes footage and deleted scenes. We’ll also get to see Andy Serkis’s thoughts on playing Caesar.
