Game 24: NVIDIA’s way of celebrating PC gaming

game24This week Game24 kicked off with NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang taking the stage in Los Angeles and officially unveiling the GTX 980 to the world. The event took place at Santa Monica Airport in the 15,000 sq. ft. hanger. The event was packed with gamers eager to see what they had in store. NVIDIA did not disappoint, with a live DJ keeping the mood going and TV screens in various places showing of live games and interviews with celebrity gamers.

IMG_2012Once the event really got underway we checked out the hour and a half presentation of the GeForce GTX 900 Series. You can read more on that here. During the presentation we even got to see a recreation of the lunar terrain showing off the first moon landing. (You can also watch a very detailed video of this here.) After the presentation everyone could test out some games running on the new GTX 900 series cards or gaming on the NVIDIA Shield. They even had some Oculus Rifts available to show off the new VR Direct technology. The new technology means low latency, making the game look even better and smoother framerate during gameplay.

Two different raffles were held during the night where those who attended could win 4K monitors from Acer, NVIDIA Shields, and of course both GeForce GTX 980 and 970 video cards. It’s a completely amazing start for Game 24.
