Naughty Dog 30th Anniversary Art Show is almost ready

Naughty DogSeptember is the month for Naughty Dogs, since it marks the 30th anniversary for the company. Starting with a team of two at JAM Software and expanding over the years to over two hundred employees, the studio has created such memorable games like The Last of Us, Uncharted, Jack & Daxter, and Crash Bandicoot.

To commemorate this anniversary Naughty Dog is having its own art show and video spanning thirty years of gaming. Opening night will be on September 27th for the art show at the Gallery Nucleus and will include a photo boot area, cosplay, a birthday cake, and special guests. Those who attend the opening will also get a chance to get very cool swag like The Art of Naughty Dog art book. The book will come in a limited edition and regular edition version. Attendees will also be able to get the 30th anniversary t-shirt that was created by fans in the We Love Fine 30th anniversary design contest.

Those who do want to attend the opening of the art show may want to line up early as there will be door prizes like the 30th anniversary t-shirt and posters. The first 30 people in line will be entitled to receive a very limited edition Penny Arcade 30th Anniversary Pinny.

If you are more interested in how some of the art was crated, on October 4th and October 12 a special workshop focusing on concept and character art will be held and will feature artists from the studio. Those that attend on either day will also be able to see a full length 30th anniversary video – A Tribute to Naughty Dog: 30th Anniversary. The video will then be available online the next month. You can watch a small preview of the video below.

But starting today and going until October 12th, you can tweet your favorite Naughty Dog memories using the hash tag #NDMemories. Share your favorite moments with Naughty Dog, post a photo or screenshot as well. You can even make and share your own anniversary GIF and the Naughty Dog team will share the best ones, and maybe even send you something special.
