Star Wars’ Rian Johnson and Warcraft’s Duncan Jones want to direct some of AMC’s Preacher episodes
It all started when Ain’t It Cool News’ Eric Vespe tweeted to Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg on Friday about casting Kurt Russell to portray the Saint of Killers in the upcoming Preacher TV series from AMC. This led to director Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code, Warcraft) joining in on the conversation. Rogen asks him whether he’s down to direct some episodes, which led to him seriously being interested.
@ManMadeMoon @EricVespe @evandgoldberg TV show for AMC. Wanna direct some episodes? (I should note that we haven't finished a pilot script)

@Sethrogen @EricVespe @evandgoldberg But in all seriousness… I'd eat my own arm off to do it.

A fan then suggested that Star Wars: Episode VIII director Rian Johnson might be too busy. Johnson responds saying that it’s not going to stop him.
@EricVespe I've got 2 hands. @ThatJoeMeyers @Sethrogen @ManMadeMoon @evandgoldberg

Right now it’s just all talk, but it could happen. A lot of big Hollywood directors have directed TV shows, like Fast & Furious 6 director Justin Lin directing some episodes of NBC’s Community.
