Wesley Snipes to return in Blade 4?

Wesley Snipes was a kick-ass vampire hunter in the Blade Trilogy during the peak of his career. Blade was considered the first to pave the road for other Marvel films including the X-Men, Spider-Man and Marvel Cinematic Universe series. After the dud that was Blade Trinity and Snipes getting into legal trouble, the series and the actor became irrelevant.

Now Snipes is trying to make a comeback, as you can see from Expendables 3, and comic book movies are now popular than ever. The NY Daily News believes that Snipes is going to return in Blade 4, according to its [email protected] column:

[email protected] has learned Wesley Snipes is set to reprise his lead role in “Blade,” the 1998 vampire thriller that made more than $130 million and generated two sequels. Sources close to Snipes tells us the 52-year-old actor’s comeback after being released from prison in April 2013 (after serving two and a half years for tax evasion) is “looking good” and that he’ll make $3 million from this film, plus a cut of the profits.

I’m all for this, since I was obsessed with the Blade films back then. (The opening blood bath scene set the bar for action at the time.)

Now that the Blade rights is back in Marvel’s hand, will Disney be okay with Marvel doing an R-rated flick?
