The Emmy Awards get some pampering from GBK’s Luxury Gift Lounge

Emmy GBK Event

The Emmy Awards isn’t just about honoring those who are nominated for awards, but also about endorsing important charities and luxury items for showcase. Nerd Reactor was invited by special events company GBK to check out what they had to offer to the nominees of shows like Orange is the New Black, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey, Mad Men, True Detective, The Big Bang Theory, Silicon Valley, American Horror Story: Coven, Fargo, The White Queen, Treme, Luther, and many other outstanding shows.

Social media was the main theme during this event. Celebrities are the faces of campaigns, which also includes charities. There were several charities there that hope to use celebrity star power/social media to build awareness.

Emmy GBK EventGo Campaign: a grantmaking organization that improves the lives of orphans and vulnerable children around the world by partnering with local heroes to deliver local solutions.

Cops 4 Causes: A law enforcement non-profit organization, created to highlight the philanthropic efforts of the law enforcement.

Environmental Media Association: A non-profit organization dedicated to harnessing the power of the entertainment industry and the media to educate the global public on environmental issues and motivate sustainable lifestyles.

Mutt Match LA K-9 Rescue Ranch & Sanctuary: An all breed rescue that rescues neglected and discarded dogs from LA’s high kill shelters to rehabilitate and place in loving homes.

Emmy GBK EventStar Power: Star Power is an organization that gives fans backstage access to new kings of exclusive social media content and one-on-one engagement straight from their favorite celebrities – while supporting the causes they care about. Celebrities were given the opportunity to step into the organization’s money box and grab as much money for their favorite charity. Using the #StarPower, this allows fans to see what charity their celebrity is donating to and also assist in giving to the cause.

LG provided their guests with the LG Tone Infinim – a bluetooth headset developed in collaboration with Harman/Kardon to deliver amazing sounds quality and comfort for your everyday uses. The Infinim secures around your neck and includes retractable wire management technology to quickly access the earbuds and put them away when not in use.

With Bluetooth 3.0 technology, the Tone Infinim is compatible with smart phones, tablets and any other device with easy to access buttons to cycle through music, raise volume and answer your phone calls. The Tone Infinim is optimized to work with the LG G3 Smart phone with its Answer Me+ function which instantly disconnects the bluetooth when the phone is raised to your ear without needing to do anything else. LG boasts 17 hours of talk time, 14 hours of audio playback and up to 550 hours of standby time off a single charge of the 220 mAh built-in rechargeable battery.
