New Dragon Ball Z movie coming next year

It seems Akira Toriyama is keeping himself busy. The September issue of Shueisha’s V Jump has confirmed that there will be a new Dragon Ball Z movie out next year. At least for Japan, with US and other countries most likely at a later date.

Mr. Toriyama is currently writing screenplay and coming up with new character designs for the new movie. He confirmed in the article that it will be a new story like Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods. He wanted this part of the original release of Dragon Ball Z.

Toriyama is promising more action scenes and though no story line was teased, he did say it will be utterly funny. Even his original editor apparently gave him praise which, according to Mr. Toriyama, is rare.

I can’t wait for this movie to come out. I liked Battle of the Gods and I can’t wait what new characters he has in store for us. Are you looking forward to the movie?
