Metal singer does covers for anime and cartoon shows

I stumbled upon a great artist on YouTube by sheer luck. Having started watching videos of Metallica after a few recommended videos and random searches, I ended up on this man’s YouTube page.¬†The singer’s name is PelleK and he does an amazing job on cover songs. What amazed me is that he takes something of a different genre and turns it into metal.

Norway is no stranger to metal bands doing covers of other metal songs, but this is the first time I’ve seen a metal singer do covers of anime and cartoons that I grew up with. Also¬†his anime cover is not limited to past animes but also current ones, and another kicker is that he covers some of them in Japanese, fluently.

To name a few from both categories: Dragonball Z, Attack on Titan, Thundercats, Saint Seiya, and others. Below are just a small sampling of what he does. Now it’s not all anime and cartoons; he does cover a lot of popular music.
