Michael Bay is okay with fans hating on his Transformers

A bunch of the NR gang saw Transformers: Age Of Extinction and thought the movie is an enjoyable summer blockbuster popcorn movie, as long as you shut your brain at the door and have a blind eye for plot holes. (Check our review here.) So far the movie isn’t being well-received, but it’s still set to make a whole lot of money (People want to see giant-transforming robots beat the crap out of each other).

Director Michael Bay had some words to the naysayers out there via MTV:

“They love to hate, and I don’t care; let them hate. They’re still going to see the movie! I think it’s good to get a little tension. Very good.”

When Bay first started out, he would care about what the people had to say. Since he’s on his fourth Transformers movie now, clearly he isn’t bothered by it anymore.

“I used to get bothered by it, but I think it’s good to get the dialogue going. It makes me think, and it keeps me on my toes, so it’s good,” said Bay.
