BlazBlue EVO 2014 Pot gets $30k bonus from Arc System Works & Aksys Games

The premier fighting game tournament of the year, EVO 2014, is soon upon us in less than a month. What better to sweeten the event than a game company adding a nice fat bonus for the players! Japanese game developer Arc System Works and publisher Aksys Games are throwing a combined $25,000 to the Blazblue Chrono Phantasma prize pool. In additon, the winners of the EVO tournament will receive a flight and invitation to Arc System Work’s own yearly fighting game tournament held in Japan, ARC REVOLUTION CUP (ArcRevo), in addition to another $5000 from Aksys. The winner will also be able to choose a competitor to accompany them to ArcRevo to compete in the tournament.

This is the biggest prize pool seen for a BlazBlue since the game’s inception and is sure to bring some of the world’s best players to EVO. Producer Toshimichi Mori will be attending the event along with Kana Ueda (voice of Rachel Alucard).

Registrations for EVO2014 closes on June 30th, so would-be challengers should hurry! Other games in the EVO2014 line up this year includes Ultra Street Fighter 4, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Injustice: Gods Among Us, King of Fighters XIII, Super Smash Brothers Melee, Killer Instinct, Tekken Tag Tournament 2.
