Pixar releases Inside Out title treatment and reveals Lava short

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything inside the Pixar lab, but they have some news for us. Inside Out, the next Pixar film after Monsters University, now has a title treatment. We also get news of the accompanying short film called Lava that will play in front of Inside Out.

Inside Out is being directed by Pete Docter (Monsters Inc, Up) and will take us on a trip inside the mind…Riley’s mind, that is. She’s a kid who is moving from the Midwest to the city of San Francisco due to her father’s new job. Her emotions are controlled by Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). (If you’ve watched Herman’s Head, then you should get an idea on how the premise should work.) The emotions live in Headquarters, but it looks like the new life in San Francisco is going to cause some trouble.

Inside Out will be in theaters on June 19, 2015.

And below is the poster for Lava.
