After everything that has happened during the development of Uncharted 4, the recent news that Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley (directors of The Last of Us and Uncharted 4: Among Thieves) would return to oversee the development of Uncharted 4 has helped ease the minds of worried gamers.

Today at their E3 conference, Sony has revealed a new trailer for the newly named Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

In this new trailer, we see a weary Nathan Drake washed ashore on an island with voiceover conversation between Drake and Sully. “Can I count on you? One last time?” Drake asks Sully. “Alright kid, let’s go do it. One last time.” Sully responds.

Wait a minute…

Does this mean that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be the final adventure for Nathan Drake? With the subtitle and Drake and Sully’s conversation it certainly seems that way. Naughty Dog could be finishing the series in order to focus on other original projects.

Then again, it could be just a ploy similar to Fast 6’s “All roads lead to this” tagline where everyone speculated that Fast 6 would be the final chapter in the Fast & Furious franchise. At this point, we don’t know for sure what Naughty Dog’s plans are for Nathan Drake and co.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is set to be released in 2015.
