EDGAR WRIGHT PITCHES REBUTTAL ANT-MAN SCRIPT TO MARVEL

Quack Reactor

Ant-ManAbout a week and a half ago, Marvel and Hollywood was hit with shocking news that Edgar Wright had left Marvel’s Ant-Man movie production. After 6+ years of attempting to make this movie a reality, Marvel accepted and allowed Edgar Wright to hold the reigns. Sudden shock and awe hit us when we heard they parted ways.

However it looks like Edgar Wright has had a change of heart and has now RETURNED BACK to Marvel Studios to pitch a newly rewritten Ant-Man script. We recently caught up with Mr. Wright to find out what caused the change of heart.

Edgar Wright

He answered us in his eloquent British accent:

It’s simple, really. I still love this film; I really do. This new script, I might say, appeases everyone. In fact, I’d call it the golden script of scripts. Simply put, it’s a magic script [laughs]. Whatever occurred recently is water under the bridge. Marvel wants this to be the first movie of 3 stages: Ant-Man, Giant-Man, and Yellow Jacket. I’m sure you’re quite familiar with those names. To answer your question before you ask it, yes, it’s another trilogy. Since I’ve finished The Three Flavors Cornetto Trilogy, this is Neapolitan (ice cream flavor) within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. You like ice cream, right?

Looks like everyone’s happy now! Edgar Wright is set to sit back on his directing chair, helming the movie that began with him. We got a quick word in with Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, and this was all he had to say:

Who hates ice cream? Not me. I like ice cream.

We couldn’t have said it any better, Mr. Feige. We do like ice cream. Neapolitan?
