Review: Attack on Titan’s Mikasa Ackerman Figma figure

Mikasa 2

Mikasa Ackerman, the Waifu.

Why is everything from Japan just so much better? From consoles to snacks, now upon my discovery, action figures. The Figma series from Max Factory is one of the world’s most high quality and realistic action figure genre available on the market. While I still do prefer statues to figures, this was one exquisitely detailed toy.

Mikasa Ackerman is the side female protagonist of the explosively popular series Attack on Titan or Shingeki no Kyojin. I’ve personally seen every episode in the series as well as kept up with the most current Manga online. While I may not be fanboying too hard, I absolutely loved the characters and story behind this great anime. Having a figure of Mikasa is a great addition to any statue or figure shelf. The figure is painted with high quality materials and built quite solid.

Visible Detail

The accuracy at which the character is represented is just about idea. While there are multiple facial options available, I do wish that the passive face more accurately resembled the cold stare of Mikasa. The figure’s colors almost ideally match those of the show. Everything is painted down to the very last milometer with no blank or blotchy spots.

The only other cadence with this figure would be the “jets of air” which I don’t find to look well on camera or in person.

Articulation and Options

Figma always gives its customers a plethora of options and parts to pose your figure in just about any method you could perceive. One such option which I loved as the inclusion of linen wires which closely resemble the harnesses from the show. They come with high quality plastic hooks which you may use to hang Mikasa for a really awesome display.

From hands to faces, Mikasa is completely customizeable to the last large detail.

While I’m pretty sure most people can’t wait to open their Figma and mess around with it, Attack on Titan will be a popular series for at least two more seasons. During this time, I project that figures and statues will increase in price from its current $69.95 at ABCToys.

Final Reaction

The Mikasa Ackerman Figma is one of the best painted, detailed, and customization heavy figures I’ve ever featured from the show Attack on Titan. While some facial features may not be ideal, everything else about this figure screams of quality.
