It’s official! The Man of Steel sequel is officially titled…

For months and months people have called the Man of Steel sequel Batman vs. Superman ever since its reveal at SDCC last year. Even Warner Bros’ CEO Kevin Tsujihara has called the film Batman vs. Superman. Well today, Warner Bros has officially announced that Zack Snyder’s upcoming Man of Steel sequel will be called…

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

For those of you who were thinking that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is just “Justice League: Begins”, you guys were right on the money. The subtitle Dawn of Justice is a CLEAR shout out to what is coming in 2017, the proposed release date of Justice League.

Don't be afraid. Justice is coming.

Don’t be afraid. Justice is coming.

But in a time where film titles include either Age, Dawn or Rise the subtitle Dawn of Justice is a little uninspired. Don’t get me wrong, it does sound cool but a little more thought into the title would’ve separated itself from all the other genre films. This is the first time that we will see Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) on screen at the same time.

What do you think of the title?

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice battle in theaters on May 6, 2016.
