With the announcement that Peter Parker is returning in Marvel’s Amazing Spider-Man #1, comic book fans have come in droves to help make it the #1 top-selling comic for the month of April 2014, according to Diamond Comic Distributors. Written by Dan Slott and illustrated by Humberto Ramos, Peter Parker is back but with a new attitude, especially since he’s got a new look on life. The sales also helped Marvel stay at the #1 spot for top publishers.

Second place was Superior Spider-Man #31.

Of course, everybody’s favorite detective took the #3 spot with Batman #30. This helped DC stay at the #2 spot for top publishers.

Rounding out the rest of the top-five comics are Batman Eternal #1 and Justice League #29.

As for the rest of the comic book publishers, the number 3 spot belongs to Image Comics, four with Dark Horse Comics, and fifth with IDW.
