The Amazing Spider-Man 2’s missing post-credit scene revealed

Warning, major spoilers ahead for The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

All the recent comic book movies are on a high when it comes to Easter eggs revealing potential stories for upcoming sequels. Movie goers who were waiting for something special during or after the end-credits for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 were sorely disappointed. What they got instead was a clip from X-Men: Days of Future Past that didn’t really make up for the lack of Spidey Easter eggs. All we got was a scene of Jennifer Lawrence beating up the military to save other mutants like Havok and Toad (he gets a new look).

One of the most questionable scenes in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was Norman Osborn’s death scene. It was a very short screen time for Chris Cooper, and what’s odd is that it was his casting announcement was big news, only to have die early on in the movie.

Well, as it turns out, there’s more than meets the eye. Thanks to MoviePilot, we get some revealing images.

The leaked image above shows the mysterious Gustav Fiers (Michael Massee) walking inside the secret Oscorp room containing many strange technological advancements. One of them is a frozen human head. Now with the image below, we get a better look at the head, as it belongs to Norman Osborn. Creepy.

So if that’s the case, how come we didn’t get to see this scene in theaters? Perhaps Marc Webb decided to change his mind, like when they decided to ditch scenes involving Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane. What we do have now is a nice setup for the Sinister Six as the next supervillain group.

So do you think Norman Osborn is going to come back from the dead and be revived back to life as the Green Goblin, or do you think they’ll scrap the story to focus on other villains?
