If real life had lag, this is what it would look like

living-with-lagLag can certainly be the vain of an online user’s online existence. Wither it is playing video games or just trying to watch a funny cat video on YouTube, nothing can be more frustrating than watching computer screen struggle to rebuffer. Thank God we don’t have to deal with lag in real life.

Introducing Swedish internet provider UmeNet, the network company began shooting a series of videos called “Living with Lag.” The videos show just how frustrating and disorientating it could be if we had to live with lag in our everyday lives. The idea for the video is actually quite genius and is possibly one of the best marketing ideas ever for an internet company.

Using the Oculus Rift, fitted with a webcam and a Raspberry Pi  computer, UmeNet simulates what it’s like to live with a five second delay. The results are pretty hilarious.
