Blizzard’s Hearthstone makes it to the iPad in Australia, Canada and New Zealand

For those of us playing Blizzard’s awesome online card game Hearthstone, this move doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Everything in the interface screamed mobile gaming, while still maintaining the gold standard we’ve all come to expect from Blizzard’s titles. Hearthstone coming to the iPad is possible the biggest advancement in mobile gaming this past decade. First testing it at Blizzcon 2013, the game ran flawlessly on the iPad 2, with¬†beautiful visuals and seamless gameplay.

As for the individuals living under a rock, you’ll be glad to know that Hearthstone is completely free-to-play, but unfortunately like any other card game, some monetary involvement is necessary to compete at higher levels. I’m almost sure that this will become one of the iPad’s most popular titles for years to come.

The app will first be available on the App Store in Australia, Canada and New Zealand; more countries are coming soon, and those using Android, iPhones and Windows tablets can also expect to play in the near future.
