CosCast #81: The Final One

Hi guys, and welcome to the CosCast. It has been the longest of time since we got to talk and chat about cosplay and hang around. We’re finally back. I’m sorry to say that we’re back with bad news, because this is the final episode of the CosCast.
Last year we had a big hiatus during winter and we had that again this year. Coming back from it, so many things have changed. We went and tried to record one or two episodes, and then we had some slight technical issues. By the time we were ready to record again, Morgan had moved up to Washington to be with her family, and I have moved further north (which is far away from everybody else and not really ideal for recording). We could really try to push through and keep on doing the CosCast, but it would take a severe investment on my part.
I think it would be better if we take all that energy and start putting it into new things. Tara’s got all kinds of crazy projects and performances she’s working on including getting involved in different groups. Matt’s working on costumes day in and day out including the sewing group and Anime LA. We can get back to doing the things that made us want to talk about this cosplay stuff in the first place. We spend so much time talking about cosplay that it’s drifting us away from actually doing cosplay, at least for me.
It doesn’t mean that the CosCast has to completely die. The reason that we started the CosCast was because there was no cosplay podcast out there at the time. That means that one of you guys can pick up the mantle and start the next CosCast, or start something similar for cosplayers. It’s a great community, and it’s a great feeling to give back to that community. We had over a 2-year run recording the podcast.
This is our final episode. We have Tara and Matt here. We do have some extras at the end of the episode. We have a little snippet of an interview with voice actor Yuri Lowenthal. He’s a good friend of ours and we wanted to get him on the CosCast with us for the longest time.
