SCEA president Jack Tretton retiring from PlayStation

So this is one of those unexpected stories that you just come across one day while eating a burrito and catching up on podcasts, or whatever it is you’re doing. Jack Tretton, at the end of the month, will be retiring from SCEA as its President and CEO. Usually when somebody steps down, it’s because of “certain indiscretions”, like Don Mattrick. But this is at a time when the PlayStation 4 is doing incredibly well. ┬áTretton tells the press “Although I will deeply miss the talented team at SCEA and the passion demonstrated every day by our fans, I’m very excited about starting the next chapter of my career.”

Some people have said he’s going out on a high note, but that implies that there’s a downhill slope up ahead, like when a couple months ago there was a prediction that Sony would be going bankrupt in a couple years, but that’s hard to say. Whatever the reason may be, we’ll just have to wait and see what he does next.

What do you say to describe a guy who only sleeps 4 days out of the week? Probably a lot but if you ever see an obscure story about some kind of food product, indie game or something that doesn't quite fit on this site, you can (almost) guarantee this guy wrote it. Whether or not he was awake while it was written is anybody's guess.
