The Clone Wars Season 6 trailer has Liam Neeson returning as Qui-Gon Jinn

Fans of The Clone Wars series will finally be getting what they’ve been waiting for, the final 13 episodes entitled “The Lost Missions.” For those unfamiliar with the series, it takes place between Episode II and Episode III in the Star Wars Universe. For a while, it didn’t seem that there would be a sixth season, as the series was “unofficially cancelled” back in early 2013.

Thankfully due to a deal between Disney and Netflix, fans will get to see the entirety of the series including the final sixth season on Netflix. I think this is awesome, as we’re not left with a cliffhanger and we get to see events that occur right before Episode III. Even though it’s a bummer to see the series end, at least we have a new animated series called Star Wars Rebels to look forward to in Fall 2014.

For now though, this new trailer features the return of Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn. This isn’t the first time he’s appeared in the series, as it did happen a few seasons prior. Even George Lucas himself had a cameo appearance at one point. Personally, I love that actors are willing to reprise their live-action roles on an animated medium, as it adds to the immersion and continuity.

Enough talking from me, check out the awesome trailer for yourself! The Clone Wars hits Netflix on March 7th.
