Social Networks’ David Fincher and Aaron Sorkin reuniting to developing a dark Steve Jobs film?

steve JobsThis is what I’ve been waiting for. Nothing against Steve Jobs and all he’s accomplished, but we’ve always heard rumors about a darker side that was never brought to light. Even Walt Disney had some skeletons in his closet that we didn’t get to see in Saving Mr. Banks. Well it looks like we will finally get to see just that.

News came out today that David Fincher is currently in talks to direct Aaron Sorkin’s Steve Jobs biopic. Fincher and Sorkin were the dynamic duo behind the monster hit, The Social Network. The studio is hoping to bring the two back together with their fellow Facebook film producer, Scott Rudin.

The film is said to be based off of biography written by Walter Isaacson. The book portrayed Steve Jobs as a ruthless CEO who stole ideas and benefited from slave labor in Third World countries. Are you interested? I know I sure as hell am. If Fincher signs on, the film will likely have to start production after the release of his upcoming film, Gone Girl.  Being a huge fan of The Social Network and many of David Fincher’s other works, I can only hope we will be able to confirm these rumors in the near future.
