Phat Collectibles’ Walking Dead screening party in Orange County

Phat Collectibles is a staple of the nerd community in Southern California and offers some of the best community events around! The store recently organized a Walking Dead screening party at Dave & Buster’s in Orange, California. If you didn’t know, Phat Collectibles is the premier collectible, comics, toys, video, games, life size statues, and signing location in Orange County, with a shop in Anaheim and Huntington Beach.

With easily over 150 people showing up for the screening, Nerd Reactor showed up in full force to support its friends over at Phat Collectibles. This was the first time I had gone to one of the screenings, and may I say how awesome it was. Dave R., who organized the event, was able to secure the two largest sections of the private area with over 10 big-screen TVs and projector screens. It was showing the past mid-season finale, followed by the mid-season premiere which aired this past Sunday night.

Not only was the mid-season premiere awesome, but they had Tee No Evil – Zany Zombie shirts present, the very talented artist Mike Vasquez who was doing sketches for only $5, an adorable children’s zombie walk competition, and a raffle that gave out a huge variety of prizes from both Dave and Buster’s and Phat Collectibles!

What made it even more fun was hearing everyone say “ohhh” or “nooo” all at the same time during the episode of The Walking Dead, reminding each other that our investment in the show is shared. Overall I know our team had a lot of fun at the Phat Collectibles’ Walking Dead event, and we’re looking forward to the next one!
