Watch Dogs to be released in the fiscal quarter for Ubisoft 2014-15

According to Ubisoft’s Third-Quarter 2013-2014 sales, Watch Dogs is going to be released in the first fiscal quarter of 2014-15.

Yves Guillemot, Chief Executive Officer, said:

Today we are specifying our targets for full-year 2013-14 and are confirming our target for non-IFRS operating income for 2014-15. Fiscal 2014-15 will see an exceptional games line-up, with the release of five major titles including Just Dance, The Crew and Watch Dogs, which is scheduled for release in the first fiscal quarter. Our line-up is also expected to reap the benefits of the return to growth in the console market and the increasingly significant impact of digital gaming.

It is also confirmed that they are delaying the release of Watch Dogs for the Wii U.

Yves Guillemot said during a conference call:

We made the difficult decision to further delay the release of Watch Dogs on Wii U to focus the team’s resources where they could have the broadest possible benefit for both our customers and Ubisoft.

I am excited to hear that it is on schedule to be released this year. After hearing it was delayed and after the fiasco of someone trying to make it look like they abandoned the trademark, I can’t wait for this game to come out.
