Facebook releases the Paper application for smartphones

Some of you may have already downloaded the newest application released from Facebook called “Paper”. And after playing with it for a bit, it seems to be a cleaner version of the current Facebook application for your phones. If you have the current Facebook application, you will notice a HUGE difference between the two apps compared.

As I said Paper has a cleaner look and delivers the Facebook newsfeed in a highlights at the top, while you are able to scroll through the current updated posts at the bottom of the screen. You merely tap on the post you’re interested in and it will zoom in and encompass the screen. It’s seriously neat looking and doesn’t go through the slog of loading the post, much like the current Facebook application; It pulls it up seamlessly.

You can also add your own categories of news or posts to Paper. The application gathers all the relevant posts into a specific category that you can browse through such as, Technology, Sports, etc. You can access your own Facebook newsfeed and with an easy swipe, you can switch to the other categories to catch all the posts associated with it. Again all these are from Facebook and the Paper application seems to gather all the posts and data for that specific category for you to browse through.

I personally really like this app since it doesn’t feel clunky with all the different knobs and buttons like the normal Facebook application. I highly suggest people download this application since it’s free and try it out themselves. 🙂
