Nintendo President takes 50% pay cut – DS games to be on Wii U Virtual Console

It’s hasn’t been the best year for Nintendo. It has sold only 5 million Wii U consoles and lacks many titles, and Nintendo knows that. It was announced that Nintendo President Iwata and a few other Nintendo heads will be taking a 50% pay cut due to the current failure of the console.

Iwata has a few plans, and one of them will be adding Nintendo DS games to the Wii U Virtual Console. Not much information was released on this other than a picture, but even then I don’t mind using my TV as the top screen and the Wii U Game pad as the touch screen. (The Wii U already feels like that anyway).

Since I already have a Nintendo 3DS, I don’t know how much I would use this function, aside from enjoying a game or two on a 60-inch TV.
