New maps in Call of Duty: Ghosts ‘Onslaught’ DLC

cod-ghosts-onslaught-dlcOnslaught, the first map pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts, launches exclusively on Xbox 360 and Xbox One today. Onslaught includes four new multiplayer maps, the ability to turn into Michael Myers (from the Halloween horror movies) in the “Fog” map, the all new “Maverick” gun a dual-purpose Assault Rifle/Sniper Rifle, and “Episode 1: Nightfall,” the first of a four-part episodic story that follows humankind’s first contact with the Cryptids in the Alaskan wilderness.

The maps in this DLC should have something for any Call of Duty fans. The “Fog” map is set alongside the banks of a murky lake. To add a totally eerie factor, you can don the mask of Michael Myers and take down targets, along with the Halloween theme playing in the background. The “BayView” map is a coastal Californian boardwalk. Players will enjoy the fast-paced run-and-gun game play as they engage enemies, as well as call the occasional artillery strikes from the Navel Destroyer anchored offshore.

“Containment” is set in a raging battle amidst a war-torn Mexican village, where all the action takes place at what remains of a small bridge, holding a hi-jacked truck leaking radioactive material. The last map “Ignition,” is a completely remained version of “Scrapyard”, a fan favorite from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Players go into a deserted space launch facility with frenetic action amongst abandoned warehouses; with dynamic map elements that can take players out if they’re not paying attention.
