Check out our new Let’s Play series, The Trash Heap!

Trash Heap TMNT NES ThumbnailWelcome to The Trash Heap, a Let’s Play gaming series where I play some of gaming’s worst atrocities! This started out as a personal project, but it is now officially a part of Nerd Reactor. Because of this, expect fellow NR staff to join in on the madness, as we laugh and rage at some of the best examples of bad video game design.

This episode, we delve back into the days of yore, with a franchise that sparks fond memories. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles captured the hearts of kids everywhere, and the combination of Nintendo dominating the market at the time made for some pretty blatantly bad video games made by developers trying to get a piece of the action.

Joining me for this trip down memory lane is fellow writer Genevieve, via Skype. Watch as she tries to consul me after dealing with some very frustrating design flaws and the clear incompetence of the people who likely only made this game as a cheap cash-in. Trust me, the rage is real, and you can check it out in the video below.
