Phiaton Fusion MS 430 headphones review

IMG_0223It’s not easy finding the right pair of headphones. The main things we always look for is quality, design and amazing sound, but with so many headphones on the market to choose from. In this case we are going to take a look at the Phiaton Fusion MS 430, which delivers all that for around $149.99 on

IMG_0217Right out of the box the Phiaton Fusion MS 430 shows off an elegant carbon fiber design. The earpads are made out of leather to create a comfortable cushion allowing you to wear these for hours at a time with no discomfort. The MS 430 also features an adjustable headband and earpads for maximum comfort.

Every MS 430 includes a tangle-free detachable inline cable that has a built-in remote control and microphone. It can be attached to either ear cup, which is pretty useful especially for me since I am a lefty. Volume on the remote control is done by using the slider, yet it can be difficult to deal with at times, It’s the same button used to answer phones calls and for skipping tracks (depending on the number of times you push it). Truthfully I wasn’t a huge fan of the red design at first, but it has grown on me. The cable is long enough and has more than enough room to not worry about tugging if your audio device sits in your pocket.

The Phiaton MS 430 included in the package:

  • High Quality Dynamic Speakers: 40 mm Neodymium Magnet
  • Frequency Range: 20 Hz ~ 20 kHz
  • Impedance: 16 Ohm
  • THD: Less than 1% at 1 kHz
  • Sensitivity: 99 dB at 1 kHz
  • Maximum Input Power: 1,000 mW
  • Weight: 230 g (without cord) / 0.5 lb (without cord)
  • Cord Length: 3.6 ft / 1.2 m

What’s in the Box:

  • FUSION MS 430 Headphones
  • Soft Pouch
  • 6.3 mm Adaptor
  • Microphone Cable
  • Warranty Card

The Phiaton Fusion MS 430 really delivers on the sound quality. You can hear every instrument and note. It’s sharp and clear, and the bass wasn’t harsh and was leveled perfectly. Whether it’s J-rock, heavy metal or alternative, every note and beat come in wonderfully and is well balanced. When plugging it into your handheld gaming devices, your games will sound great, allowing you to enjoy your games to a different level.

The only problem I have found with the MS 430 is with the built-in microphone. When talking to friends, even with the microphone up close, many had trouble hearing me. However, I was able to hear them nice and clear.

Final Reaction

I am not the type to go and spend a few hundred dollars on a pair of headphones for a brand, but the Phiaton Fusion MS 430 deliver everything when it comes to the quality of sound, comfort and usefulness.
