CW to adapt DC Comics’ Hourman as a TV series

With the success of Arrow on the CW, the station is looking to adapt another DC Comics hero as a TV series. Enter Hourman.

If you haven’t heard of Hourman, you should know that there are three incarnations of the superhero. The standard powers are superhuman strength, defense and speed, all thanks to a pill called Miraclo. The original Hourman is Rex Tyler. His son, Rick, has the ability to randomly see one hour into the future.

It looks like the network is choosing Rick’s powers of seeing into the future.

“Determined to win back his ex-wife and son, he heroically prevents these tragedies from unfolding, finding both purpose and redemption along the way,” the network says.

Will the CW keep Hourman’s other powers, or will they just focus on him being able to see one hour into the future?

Another DC hero in the CW universe is coming soon, and that is The Flash. He’ll be joining Arrow this season. Keep an eye out, since he has the potential of having a spinoff of his own.
