Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation heads to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in HD

I’m a gamer who enjoys playing games on the big screen with a surround sound setup, and that means that I usually wouldn’t be interested in gaming on a smaller platform like on a PlayStation Vita or Nintendo 3DS. It sucks too because I miss out on games like Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation. Well, it looks like I can cross off Assassin’s Creed Liberation off the list because it’s headed to PlayStation 3 in HD via the PlayStation Store on January 14th. The PC version will be available on January 15th, and the Xbox 360 version will be available early 2014. All versions will retail at $19.99. Not bad at all.

The game takes in New Orleans from 1765 to 1780, a time between the French and Indian War and the American Revolution. You play as Aveline, an assassin who’s half French and half African. With this heritage, she’s able to blend in as a slave and as a woman of privilege. This allows her to have three distinct personas; Assassin, Lady, and Servant.

Here’s a comparison of the game in HD and on the Vita. I’d say that’s a huge difference.
