ScarJo trends for two weeks: Scarlett tumbled, now is sexy

Who else can go from hilarious fail meme to being crowned Esquire’s ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ in a matter of weeks? Why, Scarlett Johansson, of course!

One of the hardest working women in the entertainment business, the 28-year-old blonde bombshell gained the highly-coveted (is it really?) title for the second time, announced today. She earned the title for the first time in 2006, and is the only woman to have been named twice. (So far… I hear Miley Cyrus wants in on that game.)

While obviously out of pure coincidence, ScarJo actually made headlines last week for something completely different. Scarlett took a tumble (see what I did there?) December 2012 in broad daylight on a film set for sci-fi thriller Under the Skin, and the incident was unfortunately captured on camera. In what I think is probably one of the best memes to date, the internet took over and placed her image in various scenarios, where you can view as a beautiful gallery on imgur, and made headlines last week.

But, that was not going to phase her. In fact, it probably only helped her career, as of course, producers like to bank on a celebrity’s social currency. According to her, she’s probably going to need as much press as she can get. She was quoted in Esquire,

“You know, I gotta hustle. I’m a twenty-eight-year-old woman in the movie business, right?” she says. “Pretty soon the roles you’re offered all become mothers. Then they just sort of stop. I have to hedge against that with work—theater, producing, this thing with Esquire.”

You can read the entire interview with Esquire here.

Whether you agree with this recent ruling or not, one thing is for sure: ScarJo ain’t going anywhere. And, if she were to nab a motherly role in the next decade, she’d be one MULF. (not I, because, well, you know…)
