Play your classic NES, SNES, Genesis games on the RetroN 5 in December

RetroN_5-610x380While everyone is getting ready for the upcoming releases of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, fans of classic gaming got something else to look forward to. During E3 we visited Hyperkin, who was showing off an early model of the the RetroN 5, an improved and much sexier upgrade from the previous RetroN 3.

Now you can enjoy your NES, SNES, Genesis, and any Famicom games you may own, along with a slot for Gameboy Advance games (plays Gameboy and Gameboy Color games) all at once with an easy select option to cycle between the different games.

Originally slated to release sometime around October, the RetroN 5 was delayed to improve certain features. The shell design was changed to allow for better ventilation, as well as accommodations to use the Sega Power Base Converter allowing users to play Master System cartridges on the console.

All versions of the RetroN 5 will come with an power adapter with four variable head sockets to fit multiple regions with the voltage ranging from 110 to 240 volts.

Hyperkin announced that the console will now be releasing on December 10, 2013 and retail for $99.99. If it has or will complete its 100% compatibility with all games, it will easily be a great price for this game.
