Hip hop artist Drake pays homage to Batman in re-released comic book

Hip hop artist Drake, from such shows like Degrassi, apparently has a re-release this week of his comic book called Fame: Drake. Being published by Bluewater Productions, the re-release will sport a new cover by artist O.M.G. (aka Mario Gully) paying homage to Batman. Even rappers want to be the Dark Knight (yes, I know many of you will be furious about this cover).

The comic book is a biography of Drake, who’s real name is Aubrey Graham. The comic follows him from the Degrassi teen show as a teenager stuck in a wheelchair, Jimmy Brooks, to a hip hop star.

“I really enjoyed drawing a homage cover for Drake’s comic book. He’s one of my favorite artists because he keeps it real. I highly respect that.” said cover artist O.M.G.

Fame: Drake is written by Marc Shapiro and illustrated by Mike J.C.
