The Simpsons and Family Guy will have a crossover episode

The Simpsons and Family Guy, two prime time FOX cartoon shows, will finally come together with a crossover episode in 2014. The crossover episode will be on Seth McFarlane’s Family Guy, but the featured location will be Springfield, the home of the Simpsons.

“Fox hasn’t spent this much money since they took Simon Cowell tight t-shirt shopping,” said “Family Guy” patriarch Peter Griffin in a statement from Fox.

“Finally I can get my hands on this guy!” added Homer Simpson.

The Family Guy episode will be titled “The Simpsons Guy”. In that episode, Stewie (McFarlane) obsesses over Bart (Nancy Cartwright) and his pranks; Lisa (Yeardley Smith) will try to find something good about Meg (Mila Kunis); Marge (Julie Kavner) and Lois (Alex Borstein) will hang out and leave the housewife work; and Peter and Homer argue over who has the best beer, Pawtucket or Duff.

Family Guy is entering its 11th season, and The Simpsons is currently in its 25th season (it’s the longest-running scripted show in TV history).
