Go Grindhouse with Batman 1972

Batman is a timeless character, so much so that it is possible to see him fit into almost any decade. Artist Francesco Francavilla thinks so too, and has created several character designs for a grindhouse version of Batman called ‘Batman 1972’. This iteration of the dark detective would see him smoking, wearing leather and driving a detroit steel Batmobile. I really want to see this made into an Elseworlds graphic novel, it would be awesome to see a gritty 70s Batman get double-crossed by a Pam Grier inspired Catwoman. There’s just one question, who would have played him in the movie? Lee Marvin Maybe?
