‘The Zero Theorem’ trailer leaks online

[EDIT: It looks as though the trailer got pulled about an hour after posting. Since the film is listed as being in “post production”, there’s no word on when we’ll get an official trailer. As soon as one is released, we’ll post it up. Sorry for any inconvenience. In the meantime, please accept this 1982 David Letterman interview with Terry Gilliam, plugging his “new” film Time Bandits.]

I am an unabashed Terry Gilliam fan, and have been since I first saw The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. While it’s absolutely true some of his films have stumbled*, his work remains a bastion of imagination in an industry known for redundancy. Because of this, fans have been eagerly awaiting his next project The Zero Theorem starring Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained). Recently a watermarked trailer for Gilliam’s new film has made its way online and it looks…good. The footage seen here looks a great deal like old school Gilliam, and has more than a tinge of his dystopian masterpiece, Brazil. Read the IMDB plot synopsis below:

“A computer hacker’s goal to discover the reason for human existence continually finds his work interrupted thanks to the Management; this time, they send a teenager and lusty love interest to distract him.”
